Arctic Diamonds Stole

I have finally finished my Arctic Diamonds Stole designed by Donna Druchunas from IK winter 2006. I knit her out of Davidson hand-dyed yarn I bought at the Maryland Sheep and Wool. Instead of 5 pattern repeats I did 6 to make her a little longer. She is about 26"x 66" which is a good length for me. More Pictures over at my blog.

Arctic Diamonds Begun

I'm sure it will be quite some time before my Arctic Diamonds Stole done, but I thought I'd share the beginnings of it. The yarn is a soft, very pleasant laceweight merino in the Hush colorway from Fearless Fibers.

Arctic Diamonds Stole

Hi, I joined this KAL a month or two ago but I haven't posted yet because I can't seem to get a good picture of the lace I'm knitting. It is the Arctic Diamonds Stole by Donna Druchunas in the IK Winter '06 issue. This is with two out of five repeats of the pattern done. I am using some variegated fingering weight yarn that I bought at Maryland Sheep and Wool a couple of years ago. I think it will be pretty when it is done and blocked but right now it doesn't look like much! Come by and see me at The Quiet Knitter.
