Newest Newbie!

I requested to join this KAL before I saw that it's been going for over a year already. I'm so glad that newbies are still allowed to join, and I promise pics of my shawl when I have a substantial amount completed.

The pattern I've chosen is Print O' the Wave Stole (free on the net); the yarn is spindle spun Merino (greyish mauve) with spindle spun Merino/Mohair for the edging (darker shade of the same colour). I'm crossing my fingers that I'll have enough to finish.

Hi All,

I just found this KAL yesterday and quickly joined! :) :) I have been bitten by the lace bug! I currently have OTN:

Marialis version C the stockinette version from Stahman's book. It's going good so far, I'm using Knit Picks Gossamer in the Sunrise. I don't like the color at all and am planning on overdyeing the shawl once I"m done. I'm using size US 4 s (the KnitPick's Options needles - LOVE THEM!!!) and am satisified with the fabric. I'd like to use a smaller needle, but the gauge is off and I can do lifelines easier w/the Options. Dressed the swatch looks good, lacy and airy which is what I'm going for. Here is a current picture, I've included my dressed gauge swatch as well.


I also have OTN is Leda's Dream done in a handpainted 100% Silk yarn. I'm loving the pattern and the yarn and the fabric. I'm not working on it much as it requires more of my consentration and I have a goal of next week being done w/Marialis. :D

A little about me: I'm married (8years!) have 3 kids (4g, 2g, 3mosb) work part time and I knit/crochet/dye yarns. :D I love yarn and have loved it for years. I am selftaught on crochet and knitting. I love the internet as there is so much available and many helps. I blog over Here and will hopefully have my blog hosted on my own site soon. Thank you for letting me join this KAL I've enjoyed looking at every one's projects. :D
