Beaded swallowtail

I almost forgot to post this! Here's my swallowtail shawl that I finished up about a month ago. It's knit from some bfl that I spun up myself. I also used beads instead of knitting the nupps.
Here's a picture of it without flash to show the beads. I couldn't get better pictures since my camera broke after this.
I absolutely love this shawl, it's gorgeous and I'm so proud of it since it's the first thing I've made from yarn I spun myself.

It *is* gorgeous. Love the beads, too.

Adding the beads make whole lot of difference and makes the shawl even more elegant.

That's very pretty.
Did you spin with a wheel or drop spindle? How much oz did you use for the shawl?

I spin with a wheel now. It was 4 ounces of roving and I didn't even use it all up for the shawl. I still have...40 grams of it left!

You inspired me! Ohh...

I've been spinning since last Summer 07. But I haven't made anything out my spinning. I would love to knit a shawl or a pair of socks out of my handspun yarn. But most of the time the weight is not the right weight. Or need more yardage.
