Lace socks - my design

I know this is a lace shawl kal but i just have to show you all this and it is lace. It's my 'Falling in Love' socks with lace hearts published in MagKnits today. It's my first magazine publication so I'm really, really excited.

Also a quick pic of something I was swatching this morning. The yarn is Posh Yarn's Helena 4ply (sock weight). Fairly thick yarn for 4ply though. I love the yarn and love the pattern but not sure if the two go together. Or shall I use some pale pink lace weight cashmere? Can't decide.

and here is the pink cashmere:

It must be thrilling to see your pattern in Magknits--it is very nice. The Posh Yarn is beautiful. I've been thinking about ordering some, but it is time for some stash reduction first.

I love your socks and their knit from the toe up. My favourite way to knit socks. Thanks so much for sharing. This will be on my to do list once I find the time.

Congrats on Magknits - I had already printed the pattern to make with this wonderful brown fearless fiber!

I vote for the pink cashmere - I find that self striping yarns and lace don't work generally work well together...just my opinion....

As far as I am concerned, Lace is lace and post away baby! Congrats on getting your pattern published sweetie, I'd be posting away to.

I love the pink cashmere, but then I love pink and I love cashmere, so I am biased.

I am going to put other "must" projects aside today and do a little selfish knitting on my "feather and fan" lace shawl that I am slowly, at a drunken snail's pace, doing for myself. I have been doing so much knitting for others lately I need to do a little "me" time today. If I make any noticable progess will post a pic later.
