Diamond Fanatasy Shawl

WOW This is knitting up much faster then I expected. ;-) But then I have been working on it alot. This yarn is so yummy and the pattern just keeps encouraging you to knit another row to see how the diamonds are forming.

I have finished my first repeat of chart B. Only 5 more repeats to go for the scarf size. Tonight at work during breaks I will double check my stitch count and then start chart B for the second time.

Your shawl looks very pretty. Is the yarn you are using a true lace weight? The reason I'm asking is that I have a lot of stash yarn that is fingering weight (about 400 yards for 50g), and I'd like to knit it before buying more lace yarn. I like Diamond Fantasy, and I was wondering how it would look on this slightly heavier weight.

it varies a bit in thickness but is about 18 to 20 WPI which makes it a heavy lace weight/light fingering depending on the chart you are using.

I would say go for it with your fingering. It would not be much heavier then what I am using
