Back with Shetland Triangle

I took a brief break from shawl knitting after completing my Seraphim Shawl (pattern by Miriam Felton of mimknits.com) to work on two sweaters. One is done, and I'm still at work on the other. But since I knit at night, I often need a simpler project to get me by if I have a problem I don't think I'm ready to solve. So for this reason, I decided to restart with something relatively simple. In addition, I have a large stash of yarn that seems well-suited to Evelyn Clark's patterns:



This is merino yarn that I purchased years ago in Paris, at the department store Au Printemps. Some of it is mine, and some belonged to my mother--who gave me her yarn shortly before she passed away. It is not quite lace-weight. Each skein has about 350 yards for 50g, but one skein makes a scarf-sized shawl, and two skeins make a small shawl. I tested this out last fall, and made two versions of Flower Basket that I gave away as gifts.

In addition to those colors, I have a lovely rose. And I cast on for the Shetland Triangle from Wrap Style:



I only have about 600 yards of this color, and that seems just about right for this shawl. The pattern seems straightforward, and it will be easy knitting.
