Finished circular shawl...

Because I am dreadfully slow about posting here.

This started as a tablecloth pattern, which I abanonded about 100 rounds in. I quit counting then, so I have absolutely no idea how many rounds total it had. Yarn is Knitpicks Colour Your Own in Arctic Green Apple Kool-Aid.

More words here
Hi Everyone - I just joined this KAL yesterday. I am currently working on the Frost Flowers & Leaves from the book, A Gathering of Lace. I am using KnitPicks Alpaca Cloud in Peppermint, size 3 US inox circular needles. I'm nearing the end of the first repeat of chart 2. I just recently finished Kiri and a LONG while ago I finished Field of Flowers.

I absolutely LOVE knitting lace and am glad to have found this group. If you have a chance, please check out my blog, Knits-N-Purrs.

Kimono Shawl and two Mystery Shawls

Ack! I haven't posted here in WAY too long. Finished three shawls that I don't think I posted about...

First up is Kimono Shawl from "Folk Shawls"... Skacel Merino Laceweight.

Actual post about it here

Then Mystery Shawl #4. I knit this back in June but didn't get around to blogging it until last week. Random laceweight-ish mohairs - the 80% mohair / 20% nylon stuff.

More info here

Finally, Mystery Shawl #3. Some of y'all may remember me actually posting about it here. Well... finally got off my booty and finished it! Again, Skacel Merino Laceweight.

All the gory details

Currently on the needles - a massive circular shawl in Knitpicks Color Your Own. Should be finished this week, unless I run out of yarn. Uh-oh.
Next on the list - a semicircle shawl in Blue Heron Rayon Flake (colour Melon) - pattern yet to be determined - or a triangular shawl in Rowan Kidsilk Haze (shade 593) using the ocean/waves/water chart from the Pacific Northwest Shawl. I should probably do the semicircle first because I've had the yarn longer, but the KSH calls to me....

Hello all

Hi! New member here. I recently knit lace for the first time (in a self-designed cardigan) and looved it! So for my friend's wedding, I'm knitting a shawl. I've been searching and searching for the best pattern, but I like to make my own than follow one...so it's been tricky. I finally decided on the Perfect Pie Shawl from Weekend Knitting, but I'm putting in my own lace pattern, instead of the lacy rib the pattern calls for. I've yet to decide what stitch pattern, but here are my favorites:
Seafoam stitch
Star Stitch
Butterfly Lace stitch
and here are the edge stitches I like
Swirly Scallop
Rose Leaf
Leaf Lace
I've got to make this FAST, and I'd be knitting it this very minute if I had the yarn! Waiting for it to arrive in the mail...
